Ken Michaels Recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyer for 2024
Ken Michaels, Co-Founder of the Firm, has been elected as an Illinois Super Lawyers for 2024. Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, selects outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas throughout the United States who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Only the top 5 per cent of attorneys in each state are honored in this annual list. For the third consecutive year Ken has been listed in Illinois Super Lawyers in the practice areas of Real Estate, Business Litigation and Business & Corporate.
Ken’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, commercial transactions including asset transfers and property development and property management with a special focus on adhering to corporate governance principles throughout the process. He regularly publishes both scholarly and practical articles and chapters in books on topics including condominium and homeowner associations, not-for-profit governance, insurance coverage and lien litigation and mechanics liens. He is a regular contributor to the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s Flashpoints. Ken has been elected into Scribes (The American Society of Legal Writers) and serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois College of Law teaching business associations and corporate law and appellate advocacy.
