Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education (IICLE) Celebrates the Work of Volunteer Ken Michaels

In its June Flashpoints Author Spotlight, IICLE recognized and thanked Ken Michaels for his significant contributions to the legal profession.  Ken is a regular contributor to Flashpoints covering all things condominium law, as well as a contributing author to both CONDOMINIUM LAW: DAILY OPERATION CHALLENGES (2024) and CONDOMINIUM LAW: GOVERNANCE, AUTHORITY, AND CONTROLLING DOCUMENTS (2024). 

Ken’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, commercial transactions including asset transfers and property development and property management with a special focus on adhering to corporate governance principles throughout the process. He has authored many law review articles and taught in seminars and classrooms for decades, including teaching Business Association Law and Lawyering Skills courses at UIC Law School in Chicago. Ken has been elected into Scribes (The American Society of Legal Writers) and serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois College of Law teaching business associations and corporate law and appellate advocacy.

Created through a joint effort of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association, IICLE is a non-profit organization focused on the development and maintenance of legal resources designed to enhance Illinois law practice.   IICLE accomplishes its mission through the presentation of continuing legal education programs designed by and for Illinois Attorneys.  IICLE also publishes comprehensive practice handbooks and forms authored by and for Illinois attorneys.
